Economic Growth across Thames Valley Berkshire
Local growth deals across england have been announced, giving six unitary authorities £96.9 million from the Government’s Growth Fund to support economic growth across the region. Bracknell Forest, Wokingham, Slough, West Berkshire, Reading and Windsor & Maidenhead will benefit from a range of improvements including road widening, junction improvements, segregated cycle routes and much more.
The funding will also be used to create ‘solution labs’ in Reading, Newbury and Slough colleges. These will help young people with skill-based employability to boost training in areas such as science, technology and maths.
With new funding to improve Education, roadworks and station adjustments, the Thames valley will ensure business and growth.
